Cute. If only to be 16 again. [today my language is sarcasm]
On a more serious note I want to thank the writers of Greys Anatomy for their lovely episodes on the death penalty. For years I have been advocating the abolishment of capital punishment, and no one has ever understood why I stand against it. Maybe it is because of my foundation in Christianity and the sanctity that is placed in God, and his control over life and death. Maybe it's because I just think that killing people...on any level is wrong. Maybe it's because I value life above EVERYTHING else, and strongly have grounded my reasoning for human existence upon the soul fact that every human has the right to life, freedom and happiness.
Now I know many of you feel the opposite way about this, and that is fine. You can feel that way. But just know that when it comes to voting for capital punishment I will always vote against it because killing someone...no matter what they have done, only brings about vengeance. And if all we do is seek vengeance then how are we any better than the crime? Capital punishment is wrong in my eyes, and I hope one day that the US ratifies and outlaws it.
I think that I will have a will drawn up and have placed in it, that my dying wishes are that:
1. Someone carries on my work in the field of education for women and children in the red-light districts of India.
2. I am buried at sea.
3. If I be killed and my killer is placed on trial, no matter what he/she does to me....rape, torture, beat, mutilate, throw my organs to the dogs, that someone pleads on my behalf that the killer does not receive the death penalty. I refuse to have my death...which ultimately sums up my life mission of love, be tarnished by this.

Galatians 5:4-6
"You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace. But by faith we eagerly await through the Spirit the righteousness for which we hope.6For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love."
